FitchRatings currently maintains coverage of 3,100 financial institutions, including 1,600 banks and 1,400 insurance companies. Finance & leasing companies and broker-dealers make up the remainder of the company’s financial institution coverage universe. Additionally, Fitch currently rates over 1,200 corporate issuers and 89 sovereigns, and maintains surveillance on over 45,000 municipal transactions.
The company currently has over 8,600 structured finance transactions under surveillance, including 4,000 RMBS pools, 440 CMBS, 1,600 ABS, and 600 CDOs. Additionally, Fitch maintains surveillance on over 1,200 European structured finance transactions and 200 Asian structured finance transactions.
